Accounts Payable Specialist - Part Time

Job Description
An accounts payable specialist would be responsible for making sure all bills are paid in an efficient and timely manner. Provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping record of it all for tax purposes. Creating and sending invoices and statements to customers. Checking the data input to ensure the accuracy of the final bill. Responsible for answering the phone, greeting callers. Organizes and archives records an documents. 

Additional Requirements

SKILLS:
Computers and Software: Ability to create, modify and maintain documents in Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word are required skills. Ability to learn and utilize accounts payable and receivable module of Sage accounting software or similar is a required skill. The ability to learn Wood Brokerage and Shop Talk database software or similar skills are required. 
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as weight tickets, log scale tickets, software graphical user interfaces and customer or vendor correspondence. Ability to answer phone calls in a polite manner and resolve the call in the appropriate manner. 
Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute cords from scale tickets. 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Duties

 

  • Places lumber piece by piece in layers.
  • Positions lumber on skids or carts to build foundation for lumber stacks.
  • Bands bundles and records number of stacks by product and species.
  • Cleans work area.

Job Title: LUMBER GRADER


SUMMARY

Inspects and grades milled, rough sawed, or dimensional stock lumber by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Examines lumber for defects such as knots, stains, decay, splits, faulty edges, pitch pockets, wormholes, and defective milling
  • Grades lumber to ensure specified dimensions
  • Marks lumber to indicate grade and processing instructions
  • Tallies pieces of lumber according to grade and board footage
  • Determines cuts to be made to obtain highest marketable value from material
  • Removes unsatisfactory pieces table and planes pieces on stacks
  • Scales board footage and records results


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Watches over Grade Lumber Stacker(s).


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE (2)

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups. 


MATHEMATICAL SKILL (3)

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABLILITY (3)

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Electrical Maintenance Technician  - Grayling, MI - AJD ForestProducts LP

Electrical Maintenance Technician 

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify electrical issues.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations.
- Communicate and work well in a team setting.


Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Knowledge of industrial electrician practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of start/stop and various sensor wiring.
- Experience with PLC/ Ladder logic is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work with high voltage systems safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to detect and resolve electrical issues.

Pay: Based on experience and skillset

Schedule:

  • 6:00am – 3:30pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional work outside of the standard schedule may be required.

 

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (preferred)
  • Completion of apprentice program or electrical certifications highly preferred, but not required.

 

Experience:

  • 3 Years of verifiable experience in a similar role and work environment highly preferred, but not required.
